Contrary to popular belief, studies have shown and debunk the idea that animal milk, especially cow milk is good for our health.
Here are reasons why we should consider a dairy free diet.
Bones
Cow milk actually rob our bones of calcium, study has found that people who consume most cow's milk have significantly higher fracture rate compare to those who drink little to no cow milk. This means cow milk does not actually strengthen our bones but does otherwise.
Cancer
Studies have shown that women who consume significant amount of dairy products each day are more likely to develop ovarian cancer. Also milk and cheese have been linked to an increased risk of developing prostate cancer, lung cancer and breast cancer.
Acne
According to research, most evidence-base studies with researchers still figuring out what the underlying connection is agreed that acne can be irritated by dairy. Despite the growth hormones already in milk exasperates acne, dairy cows are treated with artificial hormones that affect their milk supply and those hormones may throw your hormones off balance when you consume dairy products.
Also when milk products are combined with high levels of refined foods and processed sugar, it disrupt insulin levels and make skin more prone to acne.
Allergies
Cow milk allergy is an allergic reaction to protein in cow's milk. The immunes system, gastrointestinal, skin and respiratory symptoms may be involved.
A small amount of cow's milk protein may cause an allergic reaction
Lactose intolerance
This is when the digestive system cannot fully digest the sugar found in milk which is lactose. Instead of being digested and absorbed the lactose stays in the gut and causes symptoms of lactose intolerance. The lactose may be metabolised by bacteria to produce acids and gases that lead to discomforts.
Animal milk is suited to the nutritional need of not even just their kind but their babies, just like it is for we humans which after certain age we naturally stop weaning, animals stop too e.g a cow do not wean it calve beyond the natural age of weaning. A cow's milk does not suit the nutritional need of a human but that of it calve who happens to have a stomach with four distinct compartments and gain hundreds of pounds in months.
It only make sense why we humans keep getting harm with all manners of illnesses partly because we keep consuming products that are not suited for our body system.
